This is an outstanding teambuilding challenge and a
very flexible event. It can run as either entirely indoors
or as a indoor/outdoor event.
Your team or teams receive a tight time deadline plus
three tough objectives:
- Design an original logo that
is representative of your view of "us - an outstanding
team"
- Raise the funds needed to finance this
project
- Print the logo on to a set of T-shirts
- one per team member.
This requires your team(s)
to operate in clear functional groupings however
for a successful outcome each
sub-group needs to understand their interdependency.
For example,
the design team needs to create a logo that the
production team is capable of reproducing, while
the production
method needs to be compatible with a budget that
the fund-raisers can commit to supporting. The method used for T-shirt printing is silk screen-printing.
This is both fun and labour-intensive. So, given the
tight time schedules, a clearly co-ordinated team effort
is vital.
The fund-raising stage includes outdoor team problem solving challenges
- these can be as active or as cerebral as required.
Once again, the more the team can pull together, the
more they will earn to fund their production line.
Before the deadline is reached the
team is asked to take a photograph of all team members
in a suitable pose -
wearing their new T-shirts of course - a great momento
of the day!
This event benefits from conducting a thorough review
to look back at how the group operated. Together, we
identify critical moments in the team process and pull
out learning points. This is a great event to highlight
the many different ways in which team members can contribute
to the team achieving its goals.
