Today's business environment requires organisations to react to opportunities, threats, and marketplace trends more quickly and innovatively than ever before. Temporary task teams, designed to improve creativity and response time, are now a frequently used arrangement. Project teams, task forces, quality circles and committees are formed to tackle an issue that cuts across departmental boundaries.
Such teams are often composed of people with a wide variety of skills, experience and ideas. The team may also have a defined period of time to work on a specific issue, problem or opportunity.
What is clear is these teams need to literally "hit the road running"!
Our New Teams Event is designed to quickly integrate new team members. Learning more about team colleagues in a short space of time rapidly accelerates the "getting to know you" stage. New teams need to establish a sense of identity and cohesiveness that will help them to get to grips with their priorities.
A typical one-day New Teams Event may include one or more of the following elements:
- Fun and engaging team games to "break the ice".
- Discussion and team exercises to help your new team to develop a clear sense of identity and purpose
- A shared powerful experience so the new team starts building its own set of "war stories"
- The opportunity for team members to recognise and value the different skills and talents available within the new team
The exact content and nature of your New Teams Event will reflect your objectives as well as practical issues such as the number of participants, time available, location you require etc. To find out more, please call us on +44 (0)1558 668925 or use the enquiry form on our Contact Us page.
Eventus also offers a number of “off-the-shelf” team building activities that are ideal to include within your New Teams Event or to use as a stand-alone team building activity with a focus on kickstarting the team. These include:
