Souq Scavengers - A Marrakesh Treasure Hunt!

For groups of between 6 and 150 "hagglers” This is a team treasure hunt like no other with a crash course in negotiation skills along the way! Fits neatly with your conference or as a stand alone event of a half to a full day.

Are you up for a challenge? Marrakesh, the principal tourist drawcard of Morocco, may be a "million miles away" in terms of culture and experience yet, at just over 3 hours flying time, it could hardly be more convenient. Situated at the tip of North Africa it is a riot of colour; a cacophony of noises and an assault on the senses.

On this team building event you'll take in the hustle and bustle of the souq whilst you look for clues. Be taken in by the luxuriant displays of silks, tassels and carpets; the jumble of teapots, old keys, latches, doors and metal trinkets. Let your senses be overwhelmed in the spice market where you will absorb or rebuff the calls from the traders... “Nice carpets”... and "Looking is free” .

Your home (for small groups only) will be a traditional riad in the central medina – a haven of peace and tranquility after the hustle and bustle of the souqs. After greetings and refreshing mint tea you will be ready to tackle the Souq Scavenger Hunt. Armed with a map, compass, digital camera, set of clues and some local currency – this is a treasure hunt event with a difference!

Overcome unfamiliarity; fine tune your communication skills and, for some, draw upon those long forgotten language skills (French). Negotiate and haggle as you take in the sights and sounds.

The treasure hunt concludes with the treasure chest being opened by your team, often just seconds before the final deadline is reached!
