A treasure hunt is an old favourite for getting teams
working together and having fun; a great way to build
teams while exploring a new or familiar area.
Our treasure hunts run at sites all over the UK including villages, towns, and country parks. Our GPS Treasure Hunt is also great in a bustling city centre. You pick the city and we'll arrange a great treasure hunt! We have special treasure hunts also set up in the following cities: London, Paris, Prague, and now Marrakesh.
Our GPS
Treasure Hunt brings the treasure hunt into the 21st century! GPS is simple to grasp, great fun to use and will really
appeal to those who can't resist new toys!
We equip each of your teams (for this event we recommend
teams of 3-5 participants) with a GPS handset. The GPS will pinpoint your current
position with great accuracy and then guide you on a
route to a series of landmarks programmed into the GPS
unit.
Following
a GPS route is quite straightforward in open
areas, such as parkland where you can follow a straight-line
bearing. In the urban jungle (or perhaps a scenic town or village)
it's not quite so easy! For example the GPS may be guiding
you straight ahead but the junction you have reached
only offers a left or right choice of routes. Decision
time! Wherever you move, your current position is updated
every few seconds with information about where you are
in relation to your target.
The great thing about the GPS Treasure
Hunt is the flexibility.
We can make the treasure trail wide-ranging or stay within the
grounds of a selected venue (given the odd acre or two to play with!).
The treasure hunt can be highly cryptic and cerebral, or a straightforward
race to claim the prize. We can even get teams working together where all teams
need to collaborate to reach the treasure box. Or
we can take your participants on a treasure trail that visits
fine sites or historic landmarks.
We can arrange to meet your team at a venue you have arranged, at your place or work, or at a suitable pub or cafe. We'll welcome participants and introduce the activity. Then we dish out the gadgets (GPS, digital cameras, radios etc) and off we go!
The treasure hunt ends with the treasure chest being opened
- often just seconds before the final deadline! The treasure hunt is a great team event for a country or village setting; it also works well in city centres. London, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, the Lake District, Cotswolds, East Anglia, West Midlands...you name it ...we've probably run a great treasure hunt there!
