Bring the excitement of an Escape Room to your next conference or team building event


Escape Rooms – we love ’em! But, let’s be honest, there are a few problems: they’re best for small teams of maybe 4 or 5 people because they primarily involve solving puzzles. And solving puzzles in a large group is frequently more frustrating than fun. Going offsite with large groups is problematic when time is always at a premium.

So, here at Eventus we’ve put on our thinking caps to create an Escape Room Game that: a) works with large groups sitting cabaret-style; b) is designed for 8 to 10 people working together in a team – because that’s what most conference-type tables seat; c) involves problem-solving as opposed to puzzle-solving.

This final point is worth looking at. A puzzle has a single solution that you (or your team of 4 or 5 people in a traditional Escape Room) need to find. Is the real world like that? Well, maybe occasionally. Far more often, however, teams need to solve problems offering multiple options and different outcomes. A team building experience, like our Escape Room Lockdown game is super-fun AND encourages valuable problem-solving skills such as discussion, evaluating options, weighing up pros and cons, making decisions and forward planning.

We bring our technician (experienced team building facilitator) plus a set of hand-held tablets, one per team, to your venue. Your conference room is the setting for Escape Room Lockdown..

After an exciting video introduction, teams use their tablet to take a team photo then are transported deep inside an abandoned industrial complex stuffed to the brim with both dangers and opportunities. The scenario provided is thought-provoking and fun with a focus on the teamwork that will be needed to escape.

Radiation levels are rising while air quality steadily deteriorates. There are many rooms linked by many doors. Which route will your team take? The tablet provides feedback and updates about new surroundings.  They can also see how other teams around them are faring (or failing!). This is one competitive Escape Game!

Escape Room Lockdown rewards a calm approach – not easy to achieve as the clock counts down. The pressure to make quick decisions can be unbearable! Which teams will face lockdown (or worse!)? And which teams will win through to find the exit (some, maybe, achieving Honours) in their quest to ESCAPE?

Escape! is great for a super-competitive energiser or icebreaker during conferences or team building events.
