What is Urban Race Birmingham?

Urban Race Birmingham is state-of-the-art, cutting-edge, team game that turns Birmingham city centre into a giant game-board! If you like, it’s a brand new kind of treasure hunt using all the multimedia and GPS capability of a tablet computer. And Birmigham city centre is proving to be a perfect location!

Urban Race Birmingham uses the latest game technology to take you and your team on a madcap adventure around the city centre. We visit famous places including the Bull at the Bullring, Eastside City Park, Typhoo Basin, Cathedral Square, Birmingham Moor Street station, Victoria Square plus much more. We seek out both iconic sights and the quirky side of England’s second city. We’ve focused on the real heart of the the city centre – getting around on foot is easy.

How Does It Work?

We’ll usually arrange to meet and greet you at a suitable cafe, pub or hotel. If you’re a work group with a workplace in the city centre then we can meet you there. Either way you’ll walk straight into an exciting game! Armed with tablets (which we supply), teams set-off to unlock intriguing puzzles, challenges while taking a creative and fun set of photos and videos. It’s fun, current, topical and there’s never a dull moment!

Our most popular bookings are in the afternoon or “straight-after-work” time slot. Urban Race Birmingham then runs for about 2 hours when we reconvene at a fantastic Birmingham pub or restaurant. Enjoy your drinks or a delicious meal while we delight your group with a showing of the videos and photos taken during your Urban Race.
