Wacky Races

Our karts are made from wood (not cardboard) and, when constructed correctly, are really ready to race. They are propelled by “team power” (i.e. pushing) so safety is not a factor providing your event venue is not situated on the summit of a mountain! Karts require no technical skills to assemble – just teamwork. Your kart comes with a proper steering rack as standard to allow for maximum fun when the racing kicks-off.

Each team customises their kart to create a colourful and eye-catching vehicle to carry team members in the race series. A parade of competitors takes place before the racing begins. A test race (perhaps involving a slalom, relay race or pit-stop challenge) determines starting positions on the grid for the Grand Prix finale showdown! Teams jockey for position and the starter fires the gun as karts are launched down the track and the race is on! The chequered flag signals the winning team, and the end of competition.

A traditional trophy and bottle of Champagne celebration on the podium is an absolute must-have. This might be a good time to make yourself scarce if you want to avoid the Champagne spray!

We provide a Race Co-ordinator, marshals, bunting, race course, covered area (gazebos) for Race Control, race commentary, chequered flag, podium, and trophy plus all equipment, and tools for the karts. Wacky Races is a great team building event to pep-up your meeting, conference or away day.
