Does your new team need to hit the road running? Dramatically accelerate the "getting going" stage with a team building event from Eventus


Today’s work environment requires organisations to react to opportunities, threats, and marketplace trends more quickly and innovatively than ever before. Many people serve in several teams simultaneously, and teams adapt and grow both proactively and responsively to both external and internal changes. This means New Teams, or Old Teams that have restructured or merged are thick on the ground. Temporary Teams and Project Teams assemble, fulfil their purpose and then disband.

Such teams are often composed of people with a wide variety of skills, experience and ideas. The team may also have a defined period of time to work on a specific issue, problem or opportunity.

What is clear is these teams need to literally “hit the road running”!

Our New Teams Event is designed to quickly integrate new team members. Learning more about team colleagues in a short space of time rapidly accelerates the “getting to know you” stage. New teams need to establish a sense of identity and cohesiveness that will help them to get to grips with their priorities.

A typical one-day New Teams Event may include one or more of the following elements:

  • Fun and engaging team games to “break the ice”
  • Discussion and team exercises to help your new team to develop a clear sense of identity and purpose
  • A shared powerful experience so the new team starts building its own set of “war stories”
  • An opportunity for team members to recognise and value the different skills and talents available within the new team

Eventus also offers a number of “off-the-shelf” team building activities that are ideal to include within your New Teams Event or as a stand-alone team building activity with a focus on “kickstarting” the team.
