Favourite Read: Jon says Goodbye Berlin by Christopher Isherwood (honorable mention – Generation Kill); Mike says Born Standing Up: A Comic’s Life by Steve Martin (with honorable mentions going to Ella Minnow Pea and The March). We’ll be posting other results as they come in.

Best Film: The consensus around the water cooler is that Up! is the best film of the year; however, although no one has seen it, Mike suspects A Serious Man would be a strong contender.

Best TV show: Despite not having produced a new series in years, The Wire is still the best TV show of 2009 (and has been every year since 2002). If we’re forced to pick something from this year, then we pick the 7-part series Generation Kill (made by the creators of The Wire).

Best Album: Florence and the Machine – Lungs

we’re smitten.

(meaning Mike is smitten – but she does rock way hard core).

Best Office Achievement: This has to be our director, Phil England, completing the immense Bob Graham Round (approx. 66 miles and 27,000 ft. of ascent in 24 hours for those not in the know) before turning around and completing the Original Mountain Marathon a couple weeks later. Phil is the real deal.

Favourite Location Visited for an Event: Portugal, Bahrain, France (Nice, no less) and on and on and on… But for those of you who have not been to Prague, you should rectify this (if you need an excuse you can use our Prague City Treasure Hunt).
