Coming off the back of a great result in the opening weekend of the World Cup (at least for the one American in the office) we’re straight into another busy week of team building.

There has been a huge interest in our Treasure Hunt Team Building events recently, and not only because of our new World Cup Treasure Hunt.  Over the years, we’ve applied our brilliant format for a true team building treasure hunt far and wide.  We always ensure that, wherever your Treasure Hunt runs, it caters for all abilities (and doesn’t just reward the fleetest of foot) and presents challenges that need to be tackled as a team.  We’re off to run another of our London Treasure Hunts this Friday, which is always a smashing success. 

If you’re ever looking to run your own treasure hunt, make sure you keep a couple of things in mind:

1) Vary the challenges: if teams are doing only one type of challenge the thrill of the chase is lost very quickly.  Whatsmore, the lack of variety means that anyone not interested in, say, collecting spoons from every Starbucks in the area will be quickly bored.

2) Define the search area: Make sure your teams can find their way home.  The best way to do this is to let them know where they aren’t looking.   A small map with highlighted zones ensures no one ends up abroad!

3) Theme it: Take a page out of our book and run a themed treasure hunt that relates specifically to your team.  The theme doesn’t have to be silly (but it sure can be), don’t be afraid to explore themes of team building within your activity.
